The biggest surprise about this news is that they classify the Sprite and peanuts as food!
I always look forward to trips on foreign airlines because the food is actually edible. Compared to what they serve on U.S. airlines, it seems practically gourmet.
What's the best/worst airline food you've had? (If you've gotten any at all)

I was flying back from a tour of duty in Turkey (yes, the country). American military fly on civilian airlines from that county. I was on a final leg of the trip from Zurich, Switzerland to New York on Pan Am (it was in the 80's). Our first leg flight had your basic "snack" food. We landed in Zurich late, and I had to literally run across the entire terminal to catch the departing flight as it was already boarding. I still needed to check-in for the flight. Unfortunately, they gave up my seat, which was way in the back of the plane. However, it wasn't too unfortunate. They bumped be up in class. Not first class, but the next step down (I thought they called it Coach, but I might be wrong). Whatever the name, I got to sit in the upper deck, with the wider seats. There was about 15 seats in this section. Needless to say, it was comfortable and quiet.
Back on point, I was pleasantly surprised at the dinner. You see, back in the economy class, I knew there were going to be cold cuts. My meal now was a 6 oz. portion of bacon wrapped Filet Mignon, complete with side dishes, dessert, and a tasty red wine. Did I mention you were allowed two additional free refills of wine? I still remember the look on the Stewardess' face at my uncouth actions, waiting until the glass was filled nearly to the rim for each serving.
I was such a barbarian..... :)
