Tony Campolo, a liberal evangelical author and commentator, plans to speak 7 p.m. Feb. 9, at York College's Collegiate Performing Arts Center during the school's Spiritual Life Week.
Campolo, a sociologist, teaches at Eastern University in St. David's -- an evangelical Christian school known for its emphasis on fighting poverty and promoting peace. Campolo was a member of the Democratic platform committee last year. His most recent book is "Red Letter Christians, A Citizen's Guide to Faith and Politics."
Campolo, founder of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education, will speak on "Staying Balanced in an Unbalanced World." Admission is free. For details, call 815-1446.
