Elaine Pagels to speak at Dickinson College

Elaine Pagels, a historian of religion at Princeton University, will speak at 6 p.m. March 1 in Dickinson College’s Anita Tuvin Schlechter Auditorium.
Pagels, an authority on literature of the early Christian era, will discuss the cultural impact of the book of Revelation, which relates to her latest book project.
Pagels’ popular books include “The Gnostic Gospels,” “The Origin of Satan” and “Adam, Eve and the Serpent” and, more recently, “Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas” and “Reading Judas: The Gospel of Judas and the Shaping of Christianity,” written with Karen King of Harvard.
