How much longer will construction take on the Route 116 bridge in Spring Grove?

Ken Fink Jr. recently asked how much longer the Route 116 bridge in Spring Grove will be under construction.

Well, it’s going to take about four months before the bridge reopens to traffic.

The project remains on schedule, said Mike Crochunis, a spokesman for the state Department of Transportation. The span closed May 29 for up to 280 days. So the span should reopen to traffic in early March.

After the bridge reopens, crews will have to pave the approaches in the spring, he said.
