If you travel Interstate 83 at night, you’ll want to be aware of some brief traffic stops that are planned for overnight Friday and Monday.

Crews plan to set six bridge beams each night at the Loganville interchange, which is Exit 10, according to information provided from the state Department of Transportation.

Drivers should expect to see 15-minute traffic stops in both directions between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. The stops will happen between the Glen Rock Exit, Exit 8, and the Leader Heights Exit, Exit 14.

The work will be done, weather-permitting.

One Response to Interstate 83 drivers: Watch for traffic stops near Loganville

  1. JT says:

Anyone inclined to grumble about these brief stoppages should remember that PennDOT used to allow traffic to flow beneath girder setting operations—until a few years ago when a girder slipped from a crane and killed a motorist on the highway beneath.

It happened in Cumberland County, during the PA 581 widening construction if memory serves me correctly.
