Route 74 traffic light in Dover Township keeps changing during overnight hours, even without oncoming traffic

We often hear about traffic problems during the day, such as traffic jams at rush hour.

But one reader recently commented on SeeClickFix about a problem he sees at 1 a.m. every day on Route 74 in Dover Township.

A traffic light at Route 74 and Palomino Road changes “every 15 seconds” whether there is traffic or not, he wrote. Most lights are triggered to change from oncoming traffic.

He wonders why he has to stop every night for this light when there are not other cars around.

Have you seen a similar problem?

A simple solution, is after midnight, till 5 am, make it a blinking light. Yellow for the main road and red for the side road.
