Dancing. You either love it or hate it. And that can even change a number of times in any given night.

I told my significant other that no gift was necessary for my birthday -- just an evening at the York Swing Dance Club, 250 S. George St., York. OK, so maybe not an entire evening, but I at least wanted to check out their $5 hour-long lesson from 8 to 9 p.m. and a little of the dance that followed.
Was I in for a treat.
We learned a few steps of the East Coast Swing Dance. The "follow" (usually the woman in a pair) moved around the circle switching partners every so often, learning different steps with different "leads."
The best part is you don't have to come with a partner! You can come alone or with your friends.
I've never had more fun. After the lesson was finished, the lights went low and the fans were turned on. (Once the music plays, it gets pretty warm in there. But don't worry, there are water bottles for purchase.)

We spun about the dance floor, counting triple steps in our heads and aloud. It's something I recommend -- if only to share a few laughs, meet new people and maybe show off those moves to your friends.
You better believe we will. Even if he doesn't know it yet.
