Lots more online

I've been covering Fox's "On the Lot" since we found out Dallastown grad Jess Brillhart was in the running for a spot on the show. I feel like what the producers show on TV doesn't make me want to tune in each week.

The ratings were low, so they cut the show and changed the format and it makes me want to watch it less. Jess and all of her fellow directors are really talented, but I want to see them behind the scenes. All they show each Tuesday at 8 p.m. is the films they made. They don't let us get to know the directors or what drives them.

Well, I went to http://www.thelot.com and found some of the stuff that didn't make it on TV. I watched Brillhart's reaction when she made it to the final 18 and saw her show off some dance moves with Zach.

It helps me deal with the format a little better, but I'd still like to see America get a glimpse of Jess, her talent and what makes her tick.

Tune in tomorrow to Fox at 8 p.m. as Jess shows her 3-minute short film "The Orchard," that she filmed in Stewartstown earlier this year.
