‘Gimme More’

Everyone is talking about Britney Spears’ much anticipated performance Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards. But was it really a comeback?
The entertainer opened the MTV Video Music Awards with her new single “Gimme More.”
But so far, the reviews have been bad. She barely lip-synced and made little effort in her dance routine, which seemed unable to dazzle the star-studded audience.
So was this really a comeback?

I mean, did she ever really go away?
Her life, including her two marriages, two pregnancies, stints in rehab and everything in between, have been documented in detail in the tabloids.
You know more about her than the cousin you haven’t seen since you were 12.
Quick. Here’s a quiz: What state is Britney from? What television show did she get her start on? What are her two kids’ names?
See, you know more than you should about a person who is “trying to make a comeback.”
Yes, she hasn’t produced an album in four years. But, at this point, does she really need to? I don’t need a new album from Britney. Her life is entertaining enough. Give me more of that.

Man, I really do know a lot more about Britney than I should. That's messed up.

I agree with you that she's never really gone away, either. I don't think that performance will do much for her singing career, though.

I watched Britney's performance at the VMAs on YouTube last night. It was very comical and disturing. I'm so glad I canceled my Allure subscription. (Allure's Sept. issue had Britney on the cover)

How about "Gimme Less"?
