McCoury talked about his days on the farm and logging the forests of Pennsylvania, as well as his bluesy "high lonesome" sound. If you missed it, download it here.

Keep your ears open this weekend when the Del McCoury Band plays live on "Prairie Home Companion," from Town Hall in New York City.

Prairie Home Companion airs locally on WITF-FM 89.5 at 6 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. Sundays and on WYPR-FM 88.1 at 6 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. Sundays.
