Soulja Boy craze

Forgive me, I am a little behind on this one.
The ladies in my hip-hop dance class asked me when we were learning the soldier boy.
"What's that?" I asked.
I look 18, so it's understandable that they think I know the latest dance craze to hit homecoming dances and football half times. But I don't.
"Oh my gosh," the exclaim, "even my 8-year-old knows it."

Here's the real video.

I did some research. Really, I misunderstood. The song is called Crank That (Soulja Boy) by Soulja Boy Tell Em. Look for yourself here . Just type in Soulja Boy and you'll find videos of preppy white boys with their collars popped, a ballet class of elementary aged boys and girls and a college football team cranking, winding and rolling to the song.

I have nothing against organized dances, I still do the "Electric Slide" and in high school I knew a dance to "Men in Black," "Let Me Clear My Throat" and "Oh What a Night.

This one just seems to have taken over. If middle-aged moms want to know it, it really crosses all age groups. And if you want to learn it, all you have to do is go to YouTube and watch the instructional video.

Happy cranking.

Disturbing to think about little kids dancing to it.

No, Jason. They really don't. It is sad too. The spiritual morality of our future is at stake. Thanks for your comment. It appears no one else is interested or really cares.
