Monster movie "Cloverfield" stormed into theaters this weekend and raked in $41 million. It looks awesome, but I'm a sissy and need to be able to mute the scary parts. "27 Dresses" came in second.

On Sunday, I found myself with an open schedule and in desperate need of some romantic comedy. So, I braved the cold to see "Dresses." It was worth the matinee price at least, and I even laughed out loud more than once. In other movie news, nominations for The Golden Raspberry Awards, which recognize the worst movies of the year, were announced. The Lindsay Lohan flick "I Know Who Killed Me" got nine nominations. Winners will be announced Feb. 23.
