Watch CNN, smack head in disgust
Apparantly the people at CNN have decided to use the "Daily Show" as it's model for quality news presentation.
That's right, the "real news" (a term applied loosely to CNN) is ripping off the fake news in order to appeal to viewers.
I know, my head hurts, too.
That is the only possible explination as to why the people at the "Morning Express" took this picture of Roger Clemens speaking under oath to Congress and doctored it to make it look like
he was giving a Vulcan greeting ala "Star Trek."
Now, had they done this on the "Daily Show," I probably would've laughed. It was kind of clever to suggest that if Roger Clemens was lying to Congress, it was negated by the fact that he wasn't really sworn in because ... I don't know ... the Vulcan salute is equivalent to crossed fingers.
But this is a real news show.
Again, I use this term loosely because the stories that followed Roger Clemens being a lying Trekkie, included a woman being held hostage by a goose, Prince Harry serving in Afghanistan and a clip of Janet Jackson showing Larry King how to dance.
I guess my point is, that as innane and shamelessly self-promoting as CNN is (see previous rant), they're still supposed to be a credible news source.
Sure they said the photo of Clemens had been shopped, but I'm not sure it made the clip any more appropriate.

Wow, I love the Daily Show and Colbert Report-can anyone get me tickets for April 21 taping? I will be in NY that weekend and they are booked for months!!! Anyway, what "real" new show has anything useful anyway? Can't recall seeing anything worth watching. All the local news channel does is promote some Pennsylvania award which I am sure no one else has heard of or cares about.
