I had a date Saturday night. My husband and I went to Doc Holliday's in Fairview Township for dinner and enjoyed a show at Harrisburg Comedy Zone after.
The evening started out at Doc Hollidays, which is located in the Harrisburg West Inn & Conference Center. Check out the menu. After dinner, we walked through the bar and into the comedy theater. A cocktail waitress kept me filled up with raspberry margaritas through the night.
There were three comics, an opener, Cory, who told the funniest joke about being so lazy, he vacuumed up a penny and it made all kinds of noise. I laughed so hard because I have issues with vacuum cleaners and always suck up something I am not supposed to.
Anyway. The feature comic was Kevin Fitzgerald. He got the audience going for headliner Kelly Terranova.
The woman beside me was laughing so hard she snorted, blamed it on her date and then spilled her wine on the man beside her.
It was a very entertaining evening. Show tickets are $8 a person if you eat dinner. If you skip dinner, the show is $12 per person and well worth it. Shows are at 8 and 10:30 Friday and Saturday nights. The 8 p.m. show on Friday is nonsmoking.
