Hello lover! "Sex and the City: The Movie" won me over after I saw it for the second time this weekend. I gasped, laughed and got misty-eyed with the rest of the audience. Even though I'm a loyal SATC fan, I had doubts about the movie. But I felt that it was able to translate the tone and essence of the series to the big screen. Of course, it wasn't all a bed of roses. Here are my top-five compliments and complaints:
The good:

1. The movie stayed true to the heart of SATC — the bond between four fabulous friends.
2. Fergie's single "Labels Or Love" started the film off on a great, Manolo-sporting foot.

3. Wedding planner extraordinaire Anthony Marentino cracked me up. I loved his attitude.
4. "I curse the day you were born." Best. Line. Ever.
5. The closet that Big built was stunning, as was almost everything that emerged.
The bad:

1. Carrie's studded belt, which appeared with about seven different outfits, was hideous.

2. Where was Stanford's boyfriend Marcus? Last we left them, they were still together.

3. The plotline involving Jennifer Hudson seemed forced.
4. Botox much? It has been four years, but some characters looked strikingly older.
5. Enough with the Vogue propaganda. The magazine sure loves to toot its own horn.
