'When We Left Earth'

I'm hooked on the Discovery Channel's six-part documentary "When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions".

I missed the first two segments on June 8, but caught the third and fourth on Sunday night. The show is fascinating, riveting and wonderfully educational. Videos inside the control room of NASA capture the emotions and poise of mission control as the trouble shoot and direct the astronauts on the Apollo missions. Words don't do this show justice. You'll have to watch it for yourself. The fifth and sixth segments air back to back on Sunday at 9 and 10 p.m.
