'Definitely, Maybe'

I haven't cut ties with Netflix, yet. Read here to see what I'm talking about.

The last arrival was "Definitely, Maybe" starring Abigail Breslin (whose grandparents live in Lancaster by the way) and Ryan Reynolds.definitely_maybe.jpg

On my day off, I popped it into the DVD player and started watching. I didn't even invite Nate, my husband, to watch it with me. It's a chic flick, and he despises those.

But a few minutes in, he sat on the couch. And never got up.

I guess having a man star in the show helped. And the fact that Reynolds reminded him so much of one our of close friends didn't hurt either.

He did make a comment that he couldn't believe he was sucked into a girl movie. The thing that "Definitely, Maybe" did was make the plot line a bit of a mystery.

After her sex-ed lesson at school, Breslin's character, Mya, tries to find out who her mom is. Her dad William Hayes, played by Reynolds, tells her a bedtime story of how he courted three women without telling her which was her mom. It's about hookups and breakups. It gets a bit complicated, but you can't stop watching because you want to know what happens.

The ending is a bit cheesy, but overall if Nate sat through it, anyone can.
