'Step Up 2: The Streets'
Although most movie lovers would say this movie is oozing with cheese, I am not afraid to admit that I loved every break-dancing, back-flipping, chest-popping moment. It just makes you want to get up and dance. And it's set in Baltimore. Take a look at the trailer.
I still have a relationship with Netflix (see here.) and as soon as I saw the first preview back before it was in theaters, I added "Step Up 2: The Streets" to my Netflix list.
It was released on DVD July 15 and at my doorstep soon after.
With all the dance specific shows on TV ("Dancing with the Stars," "So You Think You Can Dance?" and "Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew" I can see how dancing blew up.
When I was a little girl, the only dance-class options were tap, ballet, jazz and I think they threw modern in there. Man, if there were a hip-hop class, I am sure I would still be dancing today. It's so energetic and amazing. If you need some new moves, check out the movie.
