Colbert makes fun of Monica Goodling
Political comedian Stephen Colbert made fun of York Haven native Monica Goodling on Wednesday night's episode of "The Colbert Report." "Blame Monica Goodling" was the title of The Word segment of the show.
Goodling, who served as former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' counselor and White House liaison, broke the law by asking career Justice Deparment job applicants about politics, according to an internal report. In May 2007, Goodling testified before the U.S. House of Representatives' Judiciary Committee, which was investigating the 2006 firings of nine U.S. Attorneys. No charges were filed against Goodling.
