It's a good day for me in the music world thanks to two of my favorite bands. On one end of the spectrum, prog-rockers Rush are releasing a live DVD Nov. 25 of their Snakes & Arrows tour.
And for something completely different, funk/bluegrass/rock band the Bridge was added to the CapLive series for Oct. 25.
I saw Rush in 2007 at Nissan Pavilion and earlier this year in Philadelphia. After more than 30 years together, these guys still rock.
Here's a clip of "YYZ" from Philadelphia:
The DVD features a lot of tracks from the newest album, but also hits like "Freewill," "Tom Sawyer" and "Spirit of Radio."
The Bridge is a great Baltimore (my hometown) band. Being a Baltimore apologist and a former jam band enthusiast, I'm excited to see them in my new hometown of York. They always put on a great show. Erin caught them this weekend in Harrisburg.
On a related note: How is Rush not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has no legitimacy without the inclusion of Rush. Frankly,Rush should have their own wing.
