Meet St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, aka the former guitarist for Polyphonic Spree.
Her chamber pop tunes have asymmetrical melodies and ornate orchestration, but they are more flighty then fierce (unlike the tunes of her inspiration Tori Amos).
Her sophomore album "Actor," which dropped May 5, is getting major buzz, despite the fact that Brooklyn singer-songwriter might be a "creeper." She plays Bonnaroo June 12. Check out the music her "Actor Out Of Work" video above.
