Smalls (the club behind the Bourbon Street Saloon in York) will re-open as Smalls Lounge May 23.
Harry Colón, owner of Da Underground and two-time Mover and Shaker of the Year winner, will promote the club's parties and events. He plans to convert the former live metal and punk venue into a dance club Friday and Saturday nights. He'll bring local DJs in to spin each week, enforce a dress code and ramp up security.
Can he bring classy back to York? Was York ever classy to begin with? And what about Smalls York's funky bathrooms? What about the memories they collected during the club's 11-month run? (Did I just answered question No. 2?)
