fawcett.jpeg Actress Farrah Fawcett died Thursday after a three-year battle with anal cancer. She was 62.

She was born Feb. 2, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas and married ABC's "The Six Million Dollar Man" star Lee Majors in 1973. They later divorced. Her famous feathered haircut, red swimsuit clad poster and TV show "Charlie's Angles" made her a star in the late '70s. She earned three Emmy nominations for the 1984 TV movie "The Burning Bed."

She spent 17 years with actor Ryan O'Neal. They had a son, Redmon, who battled drug addiction. O'Neal said Fawcett recently said yes to his latest marriage proposal. Fawcett documented her illness in with a video diary called "Farrah's Story," which aired on NBC in mid-May. (Photo: AP)
