York bands to play cancer benefit

Cancer Aid of Gap hosts a concert and benefit from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Gap VFW, 4498 Lincoln Highway.

The event will feature raffles, door prizes and performances by Odd Thomas, Instant Tranzmission, Slim 6, Second Guessed, Sofa Kings, Agents of Chaos and The Eugene Marks Band.

Tickets are $25 and include food and beverages. The event is all ages, but proper I.D. is required for those 21 and older buying alcoholic drinks. Tickets are available online and on the band Web sites. All proceeds go to benefit local cancer patients.
