Share your passion for fashion by designing your own garment out of newspaper for the 2009 Daily Record/Sunday News Project Newspaper Contest.
You can use a needle and thread, string, glue, tape or wire to aid in the construction, but the majority of the project must be newspaper. As "Project Runway" host Tim Gunn would say: "Make it work!" Snap a picture of your finished creation and upload it to the contest page at www.inyork.com/gallery.
In addition, e-mail your name, age and the municipality in which you live and a contact number to emccracken@ydr.com with the subject line "Project Newspaper Contest." Those who don't follow instructions risk disqualification. Deadline is Oct. 22.
York Daily Record/Sunday News judges have final say on whether each entry is fad or drab when we pick first-place, second-place and third-place winners. Stay tuned for what the prizes are and find out what's happening on the sixth season of "Project Runway" with the "P. Runway" recap every Friday. (Photo: YDR File)
