York hosts Shoptoberfest skate competition

Local company Vengeance Clothing Ltd. hosts a skateboard competition Oct. 3 at Reid Menzer Memorial Skatepark, 941 Vander Ave. in York.

During the Shoptoberfest event, teams from across the Mid-Atlantic region will compete. Each shop will send four riders to four obstacles. The team with the best overall score at the end will earn $2000 in cash. The second-place prize is $500, third-place prize is $250 and the best-rider prize is $250.
