Morning update

I can't decide what I want to blog about this morning. (Lots 'o news.) So, I'm going to try something new: A link list.

  • Disney bought Marvel for $4 billion...with cash!? I smell a rat mouse.

  • The Daytime Emmys were presented Sunday. ABC raked up 17. No one watched.

  • Speaking of TV, "Sesame Street" turns 40 in November. (Do we still need to stop and ask a stranger for directions?)

  • Despite what Chris Brown said on CNN, beating Rihanna is "still is a blur" to him. (Blame it on the a-a-a-a-alcohol.)

  • Local bands slug it out on www.1057.com for the chance to open for Tantric Sept. 16 at the York Fair. Vote online through Sept. 8.
