The cereal serial

Start your day right with five links: Part of a complete, balanced breakfast.

  • Charles Gibson is stepping down from ABC's "World News." Diane Sawyer will fill his shoes. (Totally didn't see that one coming. Ron Burgundy isn't going to be pleased.)

  • "Sex and the City II" started filming in New York City. (Are we going to see this whole movie before it hits theaters?)

  • Radiohead has a new plan to buck music industry standards. (Hope the "Karma Police" don't catch up with them.)

  • We're THISCLOSE from reaching the breaking point on Michael Jackson news. We miss you, MJ, but hearing about your coffin liner isn't going to help ease the pain.

  • Harrisburg's Whitaker Center celebrates 10 years with reduced admission, a party Sept. 9 and a Sept. 20 Garrison Keillor lecture.

I am so sad Charles Gibson is leaving ABC news! I thought he was a good choice to anchor the world news after Peter Jennings died. I'll miss seeing him.
