On Aug. 14, about 100 dancers started an impromptu party in York's Continental Square to welcome the Governor's Awards for the Arts to the City.
The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts announced Aug. 19 that the award ceremony, originally scheduled for Oct. 1, was postponed until spring 2010 because of the state budget impasse. Cultural Alliance of York County President Joanne Riley said that plans are still in progress for the arts awards. Watch the YouTube video of the dance above.
