After showing nothing but whacktastic reality shows for the past umpteen years, it seems that MTV has given up its "music television" charade by dropping the words from its logo. Is anyone surprised by this? Probably not. Music videos didn't stand a chance after the untimely death of "TRL." The new logo is probably just a sign of the times. You can pretty much only watch videos online these days. Get a flashback to the good 'ole days before the "Internet Killed the Video Star." (Photo: MTV)
