The Hanover Public High School Drama Department presents The Who’s “Tommy” the musical April 20 to 22. Timeline Arcade is going to bring part of the musical to life at the North Hanover Mall 2 to 4 p.m. March 3. Four pinball machines will be set up in the center court for entrants to compete for the title of Pinball Wizard. There will be a tournament for women, men, couples, kids and one in which participants won’t be able to look at their hands. At 3 p.m., there will be a break in the pinball action when students from the production will perform a few dance numbers from the show.
Prizes will include Timeline Arcade cards, pinball promotional merchandise and tickets to see the high school musical. For details, call 717-634-2600. Tickets for the musical will also be for sale at the event.
Timeline Arcade owns an authentic “Tommy” pinball machine that was manufactured to promote the 1993 Tony award-winning Broadway musical about a young man who beats the odds to become a pinball superstar. The musical is based on the original rock opera by The Who, which was released in 1969. It became a blockbuster movie in 1975.
