Jewish Film Festival returns to Frank Theatres in York Township

The York Jewish Community Center hosts the 12th annual Jewish Film Festival three Sundays in October at Frank Theatres Queensgate Stadium 13, 2067 Springwood Road, York Township. Tickets are on sale at the York JCC, 2000 Hollywood Drive, York Township. They cost $9 and $25 for all three in advance. Tickets will also be sold an hour before each show at the movie theater. Here is the lineup:

– 3 p.m. Oct. 14: “A Bottle in the Gaza Sea”; French and Hebrew with English subtitles
– 3 p.m. Oct. 21: “The Flat”; This film is in English, Hebrew and German with English subtitles. Holocaust author and history professor Jack R. Fischel will speak and answer questions at the theater following the film.
– 3 p.m. Oct. 28: “The Day I Saw Your Heart”; The film contains adult language and content and is in French with English subtitles.

Capitol Cinema will screen “Sleepwalk with Me” 7 p.m. and 20 and 3 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Capitol Cinema, 50 N. George St., York. The comedy won the 2012 Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Tickets cost $7. For details and tickets, call 717-846-1111 or visit mystrandcapitol.org.
