New Hope hosts ‘Fame’ auditions Dec. 16 at the Strand-Capitol

Do you wanna live forever? Have people remember your name? Be a part of a community production of “Fame” — a musical based on the Oscar-winning 1980 flick about students in a New York City high school for the performing arts. New Hope Academy Charter School’s arts school will present a local production Feb. 22 to 24. It hosts auditions 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, 50 N. George St., York. (Enter through the Philadelphia Street doors.) Callbacks will be at 5 p.m. Those interested should prepare a song and bring dance clothes, which will be worn during callbacks.
