See ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy before ‘The Hobbit’ premiere

Want to get in the mood for the upcoming movie “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”, based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic tale? Watch the Oscar-winning “Lord of the Rings” trilogy adapted from Tolkien’s epic by Peter Jackson this weekend at theaters in the York area. (“The Hobbit” actually precedes “LOTR” but we doubt most people will mind.)

The movie movie marathon includes “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” (2001), “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” (2002) and “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” (2003). See it Saturday, Dec. 8, at Frank Theatres Queensgate Stadium 13, 2081 Springwood Road, York Township. Tickets to each movie cost $20. Regal 13 at the West Manchester Mall, 1800 Loucks Road, West Manchester Township, will also play the LOTR movie marathon Saturday.

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” hits theaters Dec. 14. Are you going to see it the day it comes out?
