The Parliament to host Spring Forward – Fashion Meets Art event March 1

A painting the fashion it inspires for the Spring Forward event is displayed in the window of the Arthur & Daughters shop, slated to open March 1 at 49 N. Beaver St. in York.

Get style and art inspiration for spring during The Parliament’s First Friday fashion show: Spring Forward – Fashion Meets Art. The event brings together seven creative community members, 13 artists and four downtown merchants. Local art will be paired with models styled by local merchants to reflect the artists’ vision within their pieces. (Get a sneak peek in some York store windows.) The event runs 6 to 9 p.m. March 1 at Marketview Arts, 37 W. Philadelphia St., York. Refreshments will be provided before and after the runway presentation. The fashion, makeup and artwork will all be for sale.

Don’t go home after the show:
— The after-party starts and 10 p.m. and will include drinks and dancing at The Depot, 360 W. Cottage Place, York.
