York College to host Zombie Symposium April 6

York College’s English and Humanities Department will host A Zombie Symposium starting 9 a.m. April 6 in the Humanities Center Room 218 on campus, 441 Country Club Road, Spring Garden Township. The living, dead and the living dead are invited to participate in the free event, that will explore a possible zombie apocalypse. Register for the event here.

Faculty members and students from area colleges will discuss philosophical, cultural and literary aspects of zombies. Arnold T. Blumberg from the University of Baltimore will deliver a keynote address in the afternoon. He teaches a course called “Media Genres: Zombies in Popular Media” and is the author of “Zombiemania: 80 Movies to Die For.”
