Celebrate love:
— Those 21 and older can whip up sweet drinks during the Martini Mixology session 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Hershey Lodge, 325 University Drive, Hershey. The event, which is aimed at couples, is part of Chocolate-Covered February. [$45, includes a glass and shaker]
— Show some love for your pooch or kitty 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday with Valentine Pet Photos in the shelter lobby at the York County SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, East Manchester Township.
— Live happily ever after with the musical “Cinderella” 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Gettysburg Community Theatre, 49 York St., Gettysburg. [$11]
— YWCA Hanover, 23 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, is hosting a Valentine Dance Party 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. A deejay will spin music from the ’50s and ’60s. Refreshments and alcohol-free beverages will be served. [$5; 21 and older]
— Lovely Lane Events presents the “I do. Me too.” indie wedding show and marketplace noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Marketview Arts, 37 W. Philadelphia St., York. It will showcase 24 vendors from Lancaster, York and Harrisburg. [Free]

Black History Month:
— Attend the Community Free Day with an African American Read-In 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the State Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 North St., Harrisburg.
— “Codorus Street Remembers” is slated for 6:30 p.m. at the York County Heritage Trust’s Historical Society Museum and Library, 250 E. Market St., York. Doors open at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
— Crispus Attucks Association kicks off its Black History Month Lecture Series 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in The Early Learning Center, 50 E. Boundary Ave., York. There will be light refreshments and auxiliary exhibits. [Free; Child care available]

Music and dance:
— More than 100 bands will perform at venues throughout Gettysburg Friday and Saturday as part of Gettysburg Rocks 2014, a charity event to benefit the Four Diamonds Fund. Check out venue listings.
— Millersville University will host a Latino Food and Music Festival 6 p.m. Friday and the Red Rose & Shamrock Irish Music Festival noon Saturday. Get details and tickets for both events, which will be held in Lancaster.
— The Smithereens will rock Feb. 7 at Federal Taphouse, 234 N. 2nd St., Harrisburg. Doors open at 8 p.m. Read more February concert picks. [$20 in advance; $25 the day of the show, which is 21 and older]
— 1960s folk guitarist Peter Walker will perform Friday night at the Second City Church in Harrisburg.

— Area deejay Joe Almeida organized a benefit for Windian Records founder Travis Jackson 9 p.m. Friday at Beer Mongers, 3000 S. Queen St., York Township. Bands include Saddle Of Centaur and Jack of Heart.
— The Rebel Heart Irish Dancers present “Beyond the Lord of the Dance” 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Old Monaghan Church, 15 E. Church St., Dillsburg. [Free]

— Martin Library, 159 E. Market St., York, will host sports greats Paul White and Brent Hershey from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday for its 23rd annual Fantasy Spring Training. [$5]
