Wingstock recap: See videos and photos of eating competitions, chicken chunkin’

Talk about running around like a chicken with its head cut off… Wingstock had me crisscrossing Santander Stadium’s plaza Saturday afternoon. But I got some fun photos and videos. Think: People with egg yolk spattered on their faces, people wolfing down chicken wings and people catapulting rubber chickens.

The folks at the Crispus Attucks Association, who designed the food festival and benefit, got creative this year. They added a best chicken legs competition and a crowing contest. The crowd really got into cheering for competitors, too.

While the rain and cooler temperatures hardly impacted the event, Wingstock hasn’t had the greatest luck with weather. Last year, triple-digit temperatures thinned the crowd. I thought this tweet from Foodstruck, York’s food truck event that seems to make it rain, was fun and neighborly.
