While celebrating our puppy's fourth birthday/Memorial Day with my family, my parents raved about "Slumdog Millionaire."

"It's shocking what the main character suffered," my mom warned, "but it's worth seeing."
... and my Dad had already downloaded the soundtrack to his iPhone.

What's a girl to do besides rent it? So, hubby and I settled in for the Oscar-winning flick. Wow. It was a compelling, heart-wrenching story about a true rags to riches to rags life. One of the many lessons -- people will always surprise you, for the better and for the worst.

Well, it turns out that the Dave Matthews Band concert at New York's Beacon Theater will stream live on June 1. How cool is that? As a DMB fan since forever ago, I can't wait to check it out. The group is touring for their new album "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King."
