Are Netflix and I through?

Netflix helped me survive single life without cable.
The three-movies-at-a-time package for $18.01 a month came in handy when nothing good was on channel 8, the only almost-clear channel I got with rabbit ears.
I watched five straight episodes of HBO's "The Wire" and got completely caught up on "Gray's Anatomy."

But then, I got married and along with a husband, I got DirectTV and DVR. And Netflix wasn't a necessity anymore.

Don't got see "The Happening" *spoiler alert*

Cyd Charisse cuts a rug with Gene Kelly.
Dancer and Actress Cyd Charisse died Tuesday at the age of 87. Charisse danced with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. Her famous roles were in "Singin' in the Rain" and "Silk Stockings."

The good, the bad and the city

Hello lover! "Sex and the City: The Movie" won me over after I saw it for the second time this weekend. I gasped, laughed and got misty-eyed with the rest of the audience. Even though I'm a loyal SATC fan, I had doubts about the movie. But I felt that it was able to translate the tone and essence of the series to the big screen. Of course, it wasn't all a bed of roses. Here are my top-five compliments and complaints:
