'Operation Bunny' in full effect

bunny.jpgIt's been awhile, I know. What can I say? The holiday madness has taken over. From decorating the house, to buying - and budgeting - for presents, to office holiday parties and flu scares, it's been a pretty busy two weeks.

But I'm excited to report that we are moving forward with Operation Bunny.

We've been wanting a pet for quite some time now. I grew up with loads of cats and one dog, and my husband always had dogs. The closest we've come to pet ownership is fish, a hermit crab and currently, two caterpillars.

We ruled out a dog because of the work involved, and Ava tested postive to cats, so they are out, too.

Side note: The funny part is, Ava often throws herself on top of the neighbor's cat and loves it to death, but has never shown a reaction. So who knows?

So our pet search has led us to bunnies.

A very kind volunteer from the York County SPCA let us into her home, where she lives with four bunnies and one foster bunny. We walked in the door and were immediately greeted by an adorable 11-pound bunny. They were all very cute, but Ava kinda got a runny nose when we got home, so we'll need to do more testing before we go ahead with said bunny.

But I'm hopeful.

CUTEST BUNNY RABBIT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is pretty darn adorable, but I think our bunny pursuit has pretty much been squashed (by the hubby). On the plus side, we might look into being foster parents for a cat. :-)

cutest bunny i ever see.
