The Regional Economic Development District Initiatives of South Central Pennsylvania (REDDI) and the Governor's Agriculture Renewable Energy Council will hold a conference today about biofuels at the Holiday Inn in West Manchester Township.
About 175 people are registered for the conference, which will provide the latest updates and research on ethanol and biofuels, as well as provide a networking opportunity for those interested in buying and selling biofuels.

Too bad many of us "public" could not attend. Maybe the $125 cost for "us" is a problem or working for a living. I would have hoped that the public could just view all the "new" things that will be coming OR have a chance to get "into" a segment of this business. Not enough "promo" from those sponsoring it and this still keeps the public from being educated about these products for too long. More PR and a Saturday/Sunday event could/should have been done. Maybe this is why I get disappointed with this type of "old" approach to a needed change for the future.
My guess is that this conference is more interested in the economic opportunities to be gained rather than saving the earth by inviting (on a weekend) the whole neighborhood to a big green block party (for free)... That's why we exist!
