State of the Union: Bush tells U.S. to burn dreams in our cars

| | Comments (0)

Bush told us last night to cut gasoline usage during his State of the Union Address.

The proposed sharp increase in ethanol production to pad the current technology void of producing energy from large scale renewable energy resources with ethanol has another technology void. Bush left corn and food sources out of the equation of his "lets dream" speech, only we aren't anywhere near producing ethanol in large quantities with anything but corn.

Until renewable resources are harnessed, a forced ramping up of ethanol production from corn will sharply increase corn prices. High-Fructose Corn Syrup is the low cost sweetener of choice for processed food manufactures. It's in almost everything we eat.

Where was this dream speech six years ago when it was as much of an impending issue as it is today only we had more time to act.
