Broken community: A York yard in shambles. Owner occupied transitioning to rentals, destructive renters, abandoning owners, foreclosure and people gaming the system.

Self-interest, corporate and banking systems gone amok sucking the life out of the people who gave them their power.

Survival

People who loose the vision to love their community.

Steve Dixon, who lives in the first block of North Hartman Street in York, said he wants his neighbor, whose yard is to the right of the fence, to keep her property up to code. City officials say they can cite property owners whose yards are not kept properly -- and Dixon's neighbor has been cited 11 times -- but there are limits to what can be done legally.
