Motorola Droid 2, Droid 1, and Droid X video capture compared

| | Comments (0)

The Motorola Droid X has the largest possible video file size, with the Droid 2 and Droid 1 sharing the same maximum frame size.

Droid X - 1280 x 720
Droid 2 - 720 x 480
Droid 1 - 720 x 480

As with most of the interface in the Droid 2, this Motorola phone shares much of the evolved Droid X functionality and hardware horsepower without the X's superior microphone system.

At this time, the stock Droid 2 runs the latest Android 2.2 operating system, while the Droid X is running Android 2.1. Verizon says an upgrade to Android 2.2 for the Droid X is coming late Summer 2010.

However after using the Droid X with it's three microphone system and the ability to drop sound levels in concerts, it's hard to go back to a phone with a single mic on the opposite side of the subject.
