VIDEO: Renowned dancer steps out with local seniors

Ira Weisburd teamed up with blues artist Preston Shannon to create a viral flash mob YouTube video. With the popularity of line-dancing, the two relatively unknown artists have become a hit.

The Commonwealth Fire Hall Springettsbury Township most likely echoed with the sound of quick footsteps Monday, but the noise didn’t come from firefighters rushing to extinguish a blaze.

Instead, Ira Weisburd, an internationally recognized and award-winning choreographer, hosted Monday a line-dance workshop for local seniors at the fire hall.

During the three-hour workshop, Weisburd taught the group many his most popular dances, all of which are part of Weisburd’s East Coast Tour.
