Google Keep: a cloud note, audio, picture record for journalists

I am using Evernote as a quick note taker. Google is evolving a simple tiled version of quick cloud record keeping that nests nicely with your Google Drive account.

Download the app to your Android device here from Play

The simple interface allows you to type a note, dictate a message that is translated and stored as text with the audio file or shoot a photo.

Your information is automatically stored to the cloud as you create it so it doesn’t have to be saved.

Colors can be added to a note

You can create a list in a note that you can check off as you complete.

Notes can be shared with other resources on your mobile device like sending it as an email.

There is a widget for Google Keep.

While logged into your google account you can view your Google Keep information along side of your Drive documents at  https://drive.google.com/keep/
