Women bikers show their pride

Female bikers are revving their engines all over, and they’re proud of it. Check out some of the comments readers are posting in response to our story about local Harley riding bikers of the feminine persuasion:

“I also am a owner of a 07 Dyna Wide Glide. Nothing like the feeling of freedom, wind in your face, riding with friends, going to events and meeting new people. I wanted to ride since I was in my late twenties but didn’t get my license and bike till I was 50. Always know I wanted to ride just regret that I waited so long. Just love the excitement, and power of my bike.”
Jeanne Patterson

“I bought my first bike in 2003…a Kawasaki Ninja 250. It was the only non-cruising bike I could touch on at the time. It is amazing how many more options women riders have now compared to even 5 years ago! But even so, the options are limited. And it’s definitely discouraging to have to spend the extra money on lowering kits and such.”

“I’ve been riding since I was 22, raised my kids on the back of an 84 Sporty, then an 88 Heritage…no regrets here.”
Butterkup

“Just got a bike in march or 2010…love it, love it, love it, can’t get enough of it!!! Rode over 6000 miles this summer, let’s just say the i have learned to let the ‘womens housework’ go unless it was raining. ride on girls!!!”
