Time flies when you’re having fun and picking high school football games. As Week 9 approaches and the chances to make noise in the section and district races decrease, now is the time when teams can make their final few statements of the season.
It’s Week 8 and this is the time when teams are hoping to have a final burst to end their seasons on high notes or gain momentum as the playoffs near. Let’s see if I can predict who will soar and who will flame out.
I took a step back last week with four losses but my confidence isn’t shaken as we approach Week 6. For most teams, this is a pivotal point in the season where section title hopes ascend and sometimes…shatter. I’m putting the same pressure on myself this week.
It’s weird to think that we’ve already reached the midpoint of the regular season. As Week 5 approaches, now is the time that teams either start their surge or begin to fall to the back of the pack. Let’s hope my picks hit their stride this week instead of falling into oblivion.
It’s finally time to open up section play in the L-L so hopefully Week 4 is when I truly hit my stride in “bold predictions”. While I’m currently sporting an acceptable 81% pick percentage, I’d much rather see that number somewhere in the nineties. Here’s hoping for a successful Week 4…
