Support real solutions for women

On April 18, our U.S. Supreme Court ruled to ban certain types of pregnancy termination. The implications of the court's ruling will be far-reaching for women and society.

Supporters of the ban have made a misleading claim: that the ban only applies to a specific procedure used late in pregnancy. In fact, the ban is vaguely worded and will limit a doctor’s ability to make a medical decision when choosing which is the safest procedure for any patient in the second-trimester of pregnancy.

Every woman who finds herself in the tragic and difficult position to terminate a pregnancy deserves medical care that is safe, carefully chosen, and based on medical information as well as her individual circumstances and NOT legislated by non-medical people.

Last November, voters clearly supported the privacy of family health care decisions. It's time for government to stop practicing medicine and support real solutions for women and families with guaranteed access to information and care for family planning. Let’s reduce the NEED for pregnancy termination.
